TASK
An interactive video game exploring how hyper-connectivity blurs the border between offline and online worlds, eroding the distinction between public and private identity.
APPROACH
Built entirely in Unity using photogrammetry and C#, with a character that battles against time, collects points, and communicates with NPCs to survive, asking whether you’re using the technology, or it’s using you.
RESULT
A playable game where the character battles against time, collects points and communicates with NPCs to survive in a world of never-ending notifications, shown at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin.

Hyper-connectivity is blurring the border between offline and online worlds, while erasing any meaningful distinction between public and private identities. Our emotional skills have become indistinguishable from our skills of commodifying the self online. Our relationships manifest themselves online, while the social algorithms define the rules of the game. Technology that seems liberating at first hides behind a set of constraints that occlude alternative forms of communication. Are you using the technology or is the technology using you?
